West Ham United line up Kaio Jorge move, prepare bid

West Ham United will reportedly look to sign 23-year-old resurgent Brazilian striker Kaio Jorge from Cruzeiro next year.

According to a report by Brazilian outlet RTI Esporte, Kaio Jorge is the subject of interest from West Ham United. The Hammers are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a striker in the next two transfer windows. So, the 23-year-old Cruzeiro centre-forward has emerged as a target for the East London club.

The Hammers are ready to submit a bid worth €25 million to sign the resurgent South American attacker next year. However, with West Ham yet to present the proposal to Cruzeiro, negotiations between the two clubs have not begun, although they have “signalled” their intention to make an offer.

Kaio Jorge and his resurgence

Kaio Jorge has resurrected his stuttering fortunes since joining Cruzeiro from Juventus in July 2024. The 23-year-old striker was a hot property in the market when Juventus signed him from Santos over four years ago. However, the youngster could not make his mark at the Serie A club, and he needed to return to Brazil to land on his feet.

The Brazilian striker has enjoyed an excellent 2025 campaign thus far, contributing to 25 goals in 33 appearances across all competitions by finding the back of the net 20 times and providing five assists. Meanwhile, Jorge’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs, including West Ham.

London calling?

West Ham United’s interest in Kaio Jorge makes sense. The Hammers are scouring the market for a striker, as Callum Wilson and Niclas Fullkrug are on the wrong side of 30. Additionally, the latter has blown hot and cold since joining West Ham from Borussia Dortmund, while the former has struggled with fitness issues for several years.

So, West Ham can do with a striker in one of the next two transfer windows. The East London outfit attempted to sign Aleksandar Mitrovic in the summer transfer window before the Serbian striker rejected the move. Jorge has now emerged as a viable target, with West Ham ready to offer €25 million to secure his services.

The Hammers have yet to submit a bid, but they have “signalled” their intention to present their proposal. It will be interesting to see if an offer worth €25 million helps West Ham land the 23-year-old Brazilian striker next year.
