Bayern Munich not fretting over Michael Olise exit amid Liverpool links
Bayern Munich are not overly concerned about Michael Olise’s future amid Liverpool’s keen interest in the French winger.
According to Football Insider, Bayern Munich are not fretting over Michael Olise amid Liverpool’s growing interest in the winger. The Bavarian giants are not considering selling the player just yet, having arrived from Crystal Palace only last year, and even if they intend to part ways, it would be for a monumental fee.
Michael Olise has been in the news about links with Liverpool, as the Merseysiders seem to have him high on their list of next marquee signings. The Reds ended the recently closed summer window on a high after signing Alexander Isak, having already added Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike to their attack earlier.
The Reds are probably anticipating Mohamed Salah leaving next summer, and have identified a few key targets around. Michael Olise is a key target for Liverpool, as they view the Frenchman as a long-term replacement for the Egyptian.
Liverpool could prioritise a 2026 move for Olise, which would ideally be a problem for Bayern Munich. Olise scored or assisted more than 40 times in his debut season, as the Bavarian giants have no plan to let go of such a talent, especially that easily, as it has been portrayed in the media.
Liverpool have the financial muscle to sign a player of the Frenchman’s talent, with the report stating that Bayern Munich will demand well over £100 million for the player they acquired for £50.8 million in 2024. However, finances should not be an issue for the Merseysiders, but convincing Bayern Munich could prove challenging.
Bayern Munich have no plans to sell Michael Olise
Bayern Munich are not fretting over Olise’s situation currently, and they are also planning on offering him a bumper new deal to ward off suitors. The Frenchman is already tied until 2029, which does give the Bavarians plenty of leeway if they were to negotiate a deal for his sale.
They do not want to sell the £50.8 million star as things stand, and could look to build their future squad with him as the centre-piece. While one cannot discount the idea of Liverpool making an attempt to sign Michael Olise, it is clear a the moment that Bayern Munich have no interest in parting ways just yet.
