Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham vying for Deinner Ordonez

Chelsea, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly among the clubs keen on signing 15-year-old Ecuadorian centre-back Deinner Ordonez from Independiente del Valle.

According to an update by Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Deinner Ordonez. The Ecuadorian defensive sensation has risen in prominence after his exploits in the Under-20 South American Championships. Meanwhile, Independiente del Valle will demand around £15-20 million to part ways with the 2009-born wonderkid.

Deinner Ordonez is the latest highly-rated prospect to rise in prominence in his homeland. Ecuador has produced several wondrous defenders in the last few years, with Willian Pacho, Joel Ordonez, and new Arsenal man Piero Hincapie taking European football by storm. As for Deinner, the 2009-born wonderkid is a native of Esmeraldas and has been sensational in age-group football in his country.

Despite being only 15 years old, Ordonez is playing at the under-20 level for his club and country while rising in prominence after his exploits in the under-20 South American Championships. The Ecuadorian defensive prodigy’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs, including Chelsea, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur.

Chelsea’s current owners BlueCo have been infamous for hoarding as many promising young prospects as possible in the last few years. That has severely impacted the careers of several players, but others have become pivotal figures for the West London club. Recent reports have linked Chelsea with many prodigies, including Jorthy Mokio. Meanwhile, it is hardly surprising that Deinner is a target.

Liverpool’s interest in Deinner Ordonez is also understandable.
