VfB Stuttgart are in a strong position to relinquish the release clause in his contract, which could see them extract the best value in the market in light of Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Real Madrid all chasing the midfielder.

Angelo Stiller has a new suitor in the form of Tottenham, with the North Londoners now joining a host of other rivals in the chase. Spurs have a case to make, especially if they can consistently maintain their presence in the UEFA Champions League in future seasons.

Tottenham are eager to build a strong foundation for new manager Thomas Frank, who did sign Joao Palhinha in the summer as a midfield reinforcement.
