
Westerlo goalkeeper set for move to Turkish second division with Iğdır F.K
Westerlo goalkeeper Sinan Bolat looks set to leave Belgian football in the next few days. The former Gent man is said to be off to Iğdır F.K as reported by Sacha Tavolieri. Westerlo and Iğdır F.K have reached an agreement on a deal that will see the goalkeeper leave the Pro League to join the side that currently playing the second tier of Turkish football.
Bolat was number one at Westerlo for the start of last season, but it was clear that his level had dropped considerably as a number of mistakes cost the side points. The now 37-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan in the Superlig with Kasimpasa, but only made two appearances. Bolat has had quite a career which has seen him play for the likes of Standard Liege, Genk, FC Porto, Galatasaray and Arouca. In 2017 he joined Antwerp and made 117 appearances for the Great Old before moving on to Gent. Bolat played two seasons with the Buffaloes before joining Westerlo, where he leaves having made 78 appearances for the side.
