Manchester United are all set to face competition from Tottenham in their pursuit of Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher.

According to a report from Fichajes, Conor Gallagher could be on the move when the transfer window reopens in January. The former Chelsea star is on the wishlist of Manchester United and Tottenham, and both Premier League giants are set to battle it out for his signature.

Gallagher came up the ranks at Chelsea. The Englishman got promoted to their first team in the summer of 2022 and became one of their mainstays in no time. However, they decided to sanction his departure in the summer of 2024 to help balance their books.

Atletico Madrid saw this as a great market opportunity and snapped him up last summer. The English international had a very impressive debut campaign at the Spanish club last time out.
