Tottenham line up €100 million move for Savinho

Tottenham are not giving up on Savinho as they are now prepared to go up to €100 million for the Manchester City winger.

According to Fichajes, Tottenham are planning another attempt on Savinho ahead of the January window, and they are willing to go up to €100 million for the winger. Pep Guardiola chose to keep the Brazilian during the summer despite heavy interest from Spurs, as the North Londoners could plan on another offensive for the attacker.

Tottenham missed out on several high-profile targets, including Savinho. The Brazilian seemed closer to joining the North Londoners at one stage, but Manchester City proved too difficult to negotiate with, as Pep Guardiola eventually chose to keep the Brazilian winger in his squad.

Tottenham had made their intentions clear with Savinho, and were confident of getting the player at one stage. However, Manchester City’s demands, coupled with Guardiola’s intentions with the player, never allowed the move to accelerate in the right direction.

Spurs were willing to fork out a large sum on Savinho, and while a big offer would have proved tempting for the former Premier League champions, they were never under pressure to sell for financial reasons. Hence, Savinho stayed and is currently waiting to make an impact on Guardiola’s side this season.

Spurs are not yet giving up on the Brazilian winger, as they are expected to return in January for the 21-year-old whizkid. It appears they view the Brazilian as a key part of their future planning as they continue their quest to build a young squad for the future.

Tottenham could offer €100 million for Savinho

As they are willing to make another attempt for Savinho, Tottenham are prepared to go as much as €100 million to sign the 21-year-old whizkid. It would be a serious offer if Spurs came through with it, and would make Manchester City take note of the proposal.

Yet, there will be doubts whether Manchester City would sell, especially if they cannot find a replacement for Savinho then. On the money part, €100 million would suffice their demands, although Guardiola will think about replacing the Brazilian with the right quality, which may prove tricky for Spurs.
