Yves Bissouma likely to leave Tottenham this summer

Yves Bissouma could still leave Tottenham before the Turkish and Saudi Arabian windows shut, as his future in north London has come under considerable doubt.

According to Give Me Sport, Tottenham are aiming to offload Yves Bissouma before the Turkish and Saudi Arabian window shuts. With the midfielder failing to get a solution during the European window, he could still leave Spurs, especially if Thomas Frank considers him out of his plans.

Thomas Frank laid the marker earlier with his new squad as he left out Yves Bissouma from a game for disciplinary reasons. From that point, the Malian midfielder’s future has been called into doubt, with suggestions that the club may offload the player who had entered the final year of his deal in north London.

Bissouma played a crucial role in Tottenham’s Europa League-winning season, where he featured 44 times across all competitions. The arrival of Joao Palhinha will have offset the Malian’s requirement, who had originally cost Spurs around £35 million.

Before the European window closed, there were rumours of talks between Tottenham and West Ham for Bissouma to go the other way for Lucas Paqueta. However, those discussions failed to reach any conclusions, if at all they ever happened, as Bissouma remained a Spurs player beyond Monday’s deadline.

There’s still hope for Tottenham to offload the star, with the Turkish and Saudi Arabian windows still very much open. Fenerbahce were linked late on in the window, and they could still be an option for Bissouma if a suitable offer arrives on the table. The 29-year-old will also assess his situation within this squad, and if Frank insists he’s out of his thinking moving forward, the midfielder might accept a late exit.

Turkey or Saudi Arabia for Yves Bissouma?

Galatasaray were also keen on Bissouma, although with the level of the window the Turkish giants have had, they might not look to spend big. Fenerbahce could still be an option, while big-spending Saudi Pro League clubs could also take a look at him for the right conditions.

Bissouma might still have some offers on his table before those two windows shut down. He could take a good look at the proposals before deciding on his immediate future, as one might suspect Frank does not view him a part of his plans, although the manager might be forced to re-integrate him should the £35 million Tottenham midfielder fail to leave the club in the next few days.
