Robert Lewandowski was the subject of a huge Saudi Pro League transfer offer this summer according to a fresh report.

The veteran striker enjoyed his best-ever campaign last season in Catalonia as the 37-year-old moved on to 101 goals in 147 appearances across three seasons.

The 2024/25 campaign also featured his strongest single-season tallies in Spain, with 27 scored in La Liga and 42 overall, narrowly missing out to Kylian Mbappe in the Golden Boot race.

However, constant rumours continued to swirl over his future, due to the amount miles on the clock for the Poland international.

Lewandowski is under contract until June 2026, with the option for another 12 months, and he’s opted to return to international duty this month after an injury impacted start to the campaign.

The player himself rejected any exit talk, confirming he only wants to stay at Barcelona, and complete his contract.

“It’s not an issue for me. I’ll stay next season. Right now, all I have on my mind is Barcelona. Our team will be even better next season.”

Reports in August claimed Lewandowski had turned down a whopping €100m per season contract to head off to Saudi Arabia.

Lewandowski’s agent Pini Zahavi backed up those rumours and local outlet 365scoresarabic have named the two clubs involved.

Al Hilal and Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr were the clubs that, through an investment fund, reached out to Zahavi to assess Lewandowski’s interest.

It was quickly communicated that Lewandowski had no immediate intention to leave, but Zahavi has kept the door open, and it could be revisited in 2026.

There will be no change of plan from Lewandowski in the months ahead, as he looks to get back to full fitness, for club and country.

He is determined to win more trophies at Barcelona, in potentially his fourth and final season, and lead Poland to another World Cup if they secure qualification.
