Official | Paris FC sign Hamari Traoré from Real Sociedad
Paris FC have signed Real Sociedad right-back Hamari Traoré (33), both clubs have announced. The newly promoted side won the race to Traoré’s signing, which saw multiple Ligue 1 teams interested in the former Stade Rennais captain. Paris’s interest in the fullback appeared to wane during the summer, despite at one point looking close to securing his signature.

There were reports that the club’s minority owner, Red Bull, had put the brakes on the deal, due to the experienced fullback not fitting their wish for a younger profile of player. With Paris FC losing their two opening Ligue 1 games, experience was needed and the promoted side returned to the negotiating table. A €5m agreement with the Basque club was eventually reached. Traoré has signed a two-year deal with Paris FC.
