Official | Jonathan Rowe joins Bologna from Marseille

Jonathan Rowe’s (22) Olympique de Marseille saga has come to an end, with Bologna FC announcing that the England youth international has joined the club

Rowe, who made a name for himself last season as Marseille’s super-sub, a player who came on and won the Choc des Olympiques against Olympique Lyonnais in the last minute, will unfortunately be better remembered for how his time in the South of France came to an end.

The England youth international was at the centre of the crisis that has enveloped Marseille this past week, after he was involved in a physical altercation with teammate Adrien Rabiot (30) following the opening day defeat to ten-man Stade Rennais.

During the week, Marseille confirmed that Rowe and Rabiot had been transfer-listed, although for Rowe, the club already appeared to be opening the way for him to leave. Bologna acted first and have secured the winger as their replacement for Dan Ndoye, who joined Nottingham Forest this summer.
