With the arrival of Aurélien Scheidler from FCV Dender, Anthony Descotte has been loaned out to FC Volendam.

After becoming a surplus attacking player at Sporting Charleroi, a second loan spell offers prospects for the former youth international, who previously played for Standard Liège and Anderlecht.

The 22-year-old striker returns to the Eredivisie, where he spent the past year and a half at FC Utrecht. In this latest spell, he’ll be hoping to register more than the three goals in 25 matches for the first team last season.

FC Volendam reached a one-year loan agreement with Charleroi for Descotte. This does include an option to buy. Volendam started the new season as a newly promoted team in the Eredivisie, drawing against Heerenveen and AZ Alkmaar.
