Tottenham hopeful of sealing Eberechi Eze deal this week

Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly aim to sign 27-year-old English international Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace this week.

According to a report by Give Me Sport, Eberechi Eze is the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur. The Lilywhites are eager to reinforce their offensive unit by signing a creative attacker in the summer transfer window. So, the 27-year-old Crystal Palace playmaker has emerged as a target for the North London outfit.

The 2024/25 UEFA Europa League winners have recently become the front-runners to sign the Englishman, with Arsenal ruling out a summer move after chasing him for several weeks. Meanwhile, with personal terms not posing an issue, the decision-makers at Tottenham are optimistic about signing Eze before this week culminates.

Eberechi Eze and his fruitful Crystal Palace spell

Eberechi Eze has seen his stock skyrocket since joining Crystal Palace from Queens Park Rangers in August 2020. The 27-year-old has gone from strength to strength in the last half a decade, and his exploits for the South London outfit have helped him become a regular in his national squad.

The English international has turned out over 150 times thus far for Crystal Palace while chipping in with 40 goals and 28 assists. Eze has also been hot off the blocks in the 2025/26 season, producing two impressive performances in as many outings. However, the player’s days at Crystal Palace are numbered, with Tottenham Hotspur pushing hard to secure his services.

Move across London on the horizon?

Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Eberechi Eze is understandable. The Lilywhites are scouring the market for a playmaker, as they are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit after parting ways with Son Heung-min earlier this summer. Several versatile attackers have emerged on Tottenham’s radar, with Eze becoming the North London club’s top target.

Personal terms will not pose an issue, with Eze keen on joining Tottenham in the summer transfer window. With talks between the two London clubs ramping up, the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League winners are confident of signing the 27-year-old Englishman this week.

While Eze’s stance has boosted Tottenham’s prospects, the move will not come to fruition unless Tottenham and Crystal Palace find a common ground on the transfer fee. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the English international.
