Noah Okafor set to join Leeds United as €21 million deal agreed

Noah Okafor is reportedly on the verge of joining Leeds United from Serie A club AC Milan in a deal worth €21 million.

According to a report by reputed Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Noah Okafor has been the subject of interest from Leeds United. The Whites have been eager to bolster their offensive unit by signing a versatile wide attacker in the summer transfer window. So, the 25-year-old AC Milan winger has been a target for the newly promoted Premier League club.

The latest update has brought good news for Leeds United fans, as the 2024/25 EFL Championship winners have secured an agreement to sign the versatile AC Milan attacker. Leeds United will fork out €21 million to acquire the out-of-favour winger in the summer transfer window.

Noah Okafor and his Serie A frustrations

Noah Okafor has seen his stock plummet since joining AC Milan from Red Bull Salzburg in July 2023. The Binningen arrived at San Siro after a fruitful spell with Red Bull Salzburg. However, the move to AC Milan has been unsatisfactory, and the 25-year-old has gradually become a peripheral figure for the Rossoneri.

The Swiss international has struggled for game time in the last two seasons, and he spent the second half of the 2024/25 campaign with Napoli. However, Okafor managed only 36 minutes of game time across four appearances for the Partenopei. However, his stock in the market remains high, with several well-known clubs vying for his signature. The player’s next destination is Leeds United, with the West Yorkshire outfit on the cusp of signing him for €21 million.

Premier League adventure beckons

Leeds United’s interest in Noah Okafor has been understandable. The Whites have been scouring the market for a versatile wide attacker this summer, even though Daniel James, Largie Ramazani, and Wilfried Gnonto were impressive in the 2024/25 season. Daniel Fake has demanded more firepower from the flanks, and several wide attackers, including Nathan Tella, have emerged on Leeds United’s radar.

However, Okafor is also a viable target for Leeds United, as he can play across the offensive unit. While the 2024/25 EFL Championship winners do not need a striker after signing Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Gameweek 1 hero Lukas Nmecha, the AC Milan attacker can be a backup option for the centre-forward berth.

Leeds United’s attempts to sign Okafor have yielded the desired result, with the newly promoted Premier League club striking an agreement with AC Milan over a deal worth €21 million. The 25-year-old Swiss international will end his Serie A nightmare soon, with Elland Road his next destination.
