Ajax loan defensive prospect to FC Groningen
As per Voetbal International, Dies Janse’s transfer to FC Groningen has been completed. Ajax are loaning the 19-year-old defender to the Northern club for one season.
Due to Josip Sutalo’s injury, Ajax wanted Janse to remain in the squad for Sunday’s match against Go Ahead Eagles. He was then given the opportunity to complete his transfer to Groningen. The loan deal is for one season, with no option to buy, as Ajax have plans for Janse’s future.

Janse has played just six official matches for Ajax’s first team so far. He has also played 32 matches for Jong Ajax. He recently extended his contract until 2029. He will be wearing number four in Groningen.
