Juventus Take an Interest in Lille Forward Again

Juventus have made an inquiry about Edon Zhegrova as a late-window flier once they trim their squad. The Bianconeri are finally close to completing some sales, which would open up roster spots and resources.

According to Fabrizio Romano (via SOSFanta), the Old Lady hasn’t tabled a bid yet, but they have reached out to the attacker’s agent. On the other hand, Olympique Marseille are actively negotiating with Lille.

Zhegrova has been routinely linked to Serie A teams and Juventus over the years. The time could be ripe for him to leave Les Dogues this summer. He’s been in France since 2022 after breaking out at Basel and has amassed 107 appearances with his current team, logging 26 goals and 18 assists. He has missed most of last season due to a thigh injury and has recovered, but he hasn’t returned to action yet because he might flee.

The Bianconeri’s first major exit could be Douglas Luiz. He has agreed to personal terms with Nottingham Forest, which will soon tender a formal bid to buy him outright. Instead, Atletico Madrid have shown interest in Nicolas Gonzalez, who’s surely expendable.

Per Tuttomercatoweb, the Old Lady and Atletico Madrid could concoct a swap with Nahuel Molina, who remains one of the main targets for the right wing. Instead, the Italian team needs to act quickly for the Kosovan international because he’d like to sort out his future this week.

Our Take on Juventus and Zhegrova

They’ll have to add somebody if they lose two men, as underwhelming as they have been. He’s more similar to their other attackers. Somehow, they still have a hold over Jadon Sancho. The timing of the exits will be key in both cases.
