Crystal Palace table bid to sign Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge

Crystal Palace will reportedly look to sign 23-year-old Greek international Christos Tzolis from Belgian outfit Club Brugge in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Belgian outlet Nieuwsblad, Christos Tzolis is the subject of interest from Crystal Palace. The Eagles are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a versatile wide attacker in the summer transfer window. So, the 23-year-old Club Brugge winger has emerged as a target for the South London outfit.

The 2024/25 FA Cup winners have intensified their efforts to sign the Thessaloniki native in the summer transfer window by submitting a bid worth €32 million to Club Brugge. However, the Belgian giants have rejected the offer, as they do not want to part ways with Tzolis. Nevertheless, Crystal Palace will likely return with an improved bid to secure his services.

Who is Christos Tzolis?

Christos Tzolis is the latest prospect from his homeland to rise in prominence at a European side. The 23-year-old spent most of his formative years in Greece and graduated from the youth division at hometown club PAOK Thessaloniki. The young winger has represented clubs in Greece, England, the Netherlands, and Belgium.

The Greek international has been with Club Brugge since last summer, and he contributed to 37 goals in 56 outings across all competitions by finding the back of the net 21 times and providing 16 assists. Meanwhile, Tzolis’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs. Crystal Palace will be among the prospective suitors vying for his signature in the summer transfer window.

London calling?

Crystal Palace’s interest in Christos Tzolis is understandable. The Eagles are in a spot of bother over Eberechi Eze’s long-term future, with the English international inching closer to joining Tottenham Hotspur. So, Crystal Palace must scour the market for a versatile attacker, with several candidates emerging on the South London club’s wishlist.

Recent reports have linked Crystal Palace with Bilal El Khannouss, and Tzolis is also a viable target. The Club Brugge winger’s qualities make him the ideal foil for Ismaila Sarr and Jean-Philippe Mateta. However, Crystal Palace’s opening bid worth €32 million has not done the trick, with the Belgian outfit rejecting the proposal.

The Belgian giants do not want to part ways with the 23-year-old Greek international in the summer transfer window. So, while Crystal Palace will likely return with an improved bid after failing with an offer worth €32 million, a summer deal may be a tall order.
