Tottenham set to submit improved offer for Savinho

Thomas Franks’ Tottenham are ready to table an improved offer as they look to sign Manchester City attacker Savinho.

Tottenham have made some significant moves this summer. While they have added a lot of quality to their squad, Spurs are not done yet. They seek more firepower in the final third and are going after the signature of Manchester City’s Savinho.

The North London club had already submitted an offer for the 21-year-old, but it was deemed to be not good enough. Despite having a bid turned down, Tottenham haven’t given up just yet. According to Sebastien Vidal, Thomas Frank’s team are set to return with an improved offer to try and strike a deal for the Brazilian international.

On the back of an impressive loan spell at Girona, Savinho joined Manchester City last summer from Troyes. While City were not at their best last season, the Brazilian winger did stand out with his overall performances. He finished with three goals and 13 assists in his 48 outings.

Tottenham remain keen on Savinho

While he didn’t score as many goals as he would have liked, the 21-year-old’s performances certainly caught the eyes of quite a few top clubs. Tottenham are one of the clubs that are quite keen on signing the City sensation.

The Premier League giants are not actively looking to sanction his departure, but they won’t mind cashing in on him if the right offer arrives. Spurs have already failed to strike a deal with City. While their initial offer wasn’t good enough, they could soon return with a revised offer.

Tottenham have him quite high on their wishlist as Thomas Frank sees him as an ideal replacement for Son Heung-min. With Richarlison’s future still up in the air, Savinho can certainly help their cause.

The North London club are set to return with an improved offer, and they will try to get closer to City’s £50 million asking price. While the price tag certainly seems to be on the higher side, it could prove to be a great investment for both the short and the long run, given the massive potential of the 21-year-old.
