Newcastle United, West Ham United submit offers for Rasmus Hojlund
Newcastle United and West Ham United have reportedly submitted offers for Rasmus Hojlund, with Manchester United only considering guaranteed proposals.
According to Indykaila News, Newcastle United and West Ham United have reportedly submitted offers for Rasmus Hojlund. The Danish striker is out of Manchester United’s plans, with the club only open to offers that guarantee them money either now or at the end of the season via a buy obligation.
Manchester United are moving along well in the transfer market, having signed Benjamin Sesko and now targeting Carlos Baleba. They do have a few issues when it comes to offloading some of their existing stars, with Rasmus Hojlund one of those ready to be sold.
The arrival of Sesko does make Hojlund dispensable, especially given that Manchester United do not have European football next season. The attacker was earlier planning on staying and fighting for his place, but of late, he has been open to joining AC Milan.
AC Milan had been targeting a loan move, and some reports stated they may have a broad agreement with Manchester United. However, the story here states that the Red Devils have reportedly rejected a loan option that included an option to buy, which might have come from the Italian giants.
The Red Devils are only considering loan deals that come with a buy obligation, and that may have pushed AC Milan back in the pursuit. As per the story, Manchester United have indeed received fresh proposals from West Ham United and Newcastle United, although he nature of those bids are unclear, as it could potentially be loan deals.
Rasmus Hojlund to leave Manchester United?
The idea of returning to Italy might have appealed to the 22-year-old Manchester United outcast, but should teams such as Newcastle United and West Ham come into the picture, Hojlund might potentially consider the idea. Both those teams are in the market for a new striker, especially the Magpies, although they might not be overly serious about signing the Dane as a key option.
As for West Ham, they are more of a realistic suitor for the attacker, given they are short of striking options up front. The Hammers may have the flexibility to make a suitable offer that pleases Manchester United, although for now, AC Milan are still seen as the favourites to land the 22-year-old.
