Manchester United prepare €150 million kitty to sign Carlos Baleba and Gianluigi Donnarumma
Manchester United are prepared to spend €150 million to sign Gianluigi Donnarumma and Carlos Baleba, which would be a statement of intent.
According to Fichajes, Manchester United are prepared to add a significant chunk to their transfer kitty for the signing of Gianluigi Donnarumma and Carlos Baleba. The Premier League midfielder and the PSG star are seen as key targets for Ruben Amorim, with the Red Devils prepared to spend €150 million to sign them both.
Manchester United have made some statement signings in this window, with Benjamin Sesko being the latest to arrive from RB Leipzig. Before the striker’s arrival, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo were also acquired to fortify their frontline.
Manchester United are not done with the window yet, as there are some more key positions for Ruben Amorim to address. Central midfield is a key area of weakness for Manchester United, as Carlos Baleba has been targeted by the club to come into the squad.
Manchester United believe Baleba wants to make the move, as there is a big chance for Brighton to play hardball either to keep the player or ask an exorbitant asking price. The rumours are stuck around a €100 million-plus asking price for the Premier League midfielder, as Manchester United are now prepared to pay around €100 million for the player.
Baleba has asked Brighton & Hove Albion to let him leave and join Manchester United, although that may not deter the Seagulls from making a rash decision to quickly sell him. The €100 million may not suffice their demands, as the Seagulls are probably keen to get a fee close to what they received from Chelsea for Moises Caicedo.
Manchester United are interested in Gianluigi Donnarumma
Gianluigi Donnarumma is another player high on Manchester United’s thinking, with the goalkeeper likely to leave PSG and open to a Premier League move. The Red Devils are open to paying €50 million for the keeper, and it appears PSG are demanding as much as per an update from Fabrizio Romano.
However, Manchester United are faced with a bigger challenge for the PSG star, as Manchester City were prepared to launch a move. Romano’s update states that Pep Guardiola’s side are indeed ahead in the race, and it could be a matter of time before they add the Italian international, especially if Ederson Moraes leaves.
