Fulham table record bid to sign Kevin from Shakhtar Donetsk

Fulham will reportedly look to sign 22-year-old Brazilian winger Kevin from Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer transfer window after submitting a record bid worth £37 million.

According to an update by French journalist Sebastien Vidal, Kevin is the subject of interest from Fulham. The Cottagers are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a wide attacker in the summer transfer window. So, the 22-year-old Shakhtar Donetsk winger has emerged as a target for the West London club.

The Cottagers have submitted a club-record bid worth £37 million to sign the Sao Paulo native from Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer transfer window. However, the Ukrainian giants are holding out for £43 million to part ways with the highly-rated winger, who has become Fulham’s top summer target.

Who is Kevin?

Kevin Santos Lopes de Macedo, better known as Kevin, is the latest promising Brazilian prospect to rise in prominence at Shakhtar Donetsk. The Ukrainian giants have a rich history of grooming prodigies from the South American nation before paving the way for a move to a bigger club.

The 22-year-old has been with Shakhtar Donetsk since arriving from Palmeiras in January 2024, and he has amassed 16 goals and 10 assists in 55 appearances across all competitions thus far for the Ukrainian club. Meanwhile, the young winger’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs, including Fulham.

London calling?

Fulham’s interest in Kevin is understandable. The Cottagers are scouring the market for a wide attacker after parting ways with Willian and Reiss Nelson when the summer transfer window opened. The latter has been a target for a summer move, and recent reports have suggested that a deal may be close.

However, Sebastien Vidal has claimed that the English winger is no longer a priority target for Fulham, and they are “now focused” on the Shakhtar Donetsk winger. The Cottagers have ramped up their efforts to sign the South American winger by submitting a club-record bid worth £37 million to the Ukrainian club.

However, that may not be enough to sign Kevin, with Shakhtar Donetsk holding out for £43 million. With the two clubs not far apart on valuation, it will be interesting to see if Fulham can sign the 22-year-old Brazilian winger in the summer transfer window.
