Carlos Baleba demands Manchester United transfer

Carlos Baleba is eager to join Manchester United and verbally communicated with Brighton about his desire, with personal terms already in place.

According to Indykaila News, Manchester United received a massive boost in their pursuit of Carlos Baleba. The midfielder reportedly told Brighton of his desire to leave and join the Red Devils, while personal terms are in place, as agreeing on a fee remains the only obstacle.

Manchester United signed Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig and immediately turned their attention towards bringing in a key midfielder to their squad. The Red Devils lack the quality in the middle that would elevate them to new heights, as manager Ruben Amorim may not keep faith with all of his existing options.

Manchester United made an approach for Carlos Baleba, and are currently seen as the front runners for the Brighton midfielder. The idea of bringing the Seagulls star would elevate their quality, but any deal will be difficult to conclude, mostly due to his potential £100 million asking price.

However, the Red Devils need to take steps forward in the chase, and despite knowledge of big competition, they may have the players’ nod. Baleba wants to join Manchester United, and reportedly communicated his desire to Brighton verbally.

Moreover, he reportedly has an agreement in place on personal terms, with the report stating that Baleba’s agent gave his ‘Thumbs Up’ on a post talking about the broad agreement. Now, it feels like the small matter of agreeing on a fee with Brighton will take the deal over the line, but that is probably the most difficult part for the 21-year-old target.

Brighton are unmoved on Carlos Baleba’s asking price

Brighton are not in a rush to sell Baleba, despite Manchester United believing that the midfielder wants the move. The Seagulls have had similar instances in the past with current Chelsea stars Marc Cucurella and Moises Caicedo, as they only sold them at their convenience as well as for the right fee.

In Baleba’s case, Brighton are unmoved on their £100 million asking price, which could still increase if things are to get complicated. Manchester United are widely expected to negotiate on this price point, but as history shows, Brighton may get their way if at all, they are considering a sale of the 21-year-old.
