Tottenham ready to submit official offer to sign Baris Alper Yilmaz
Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly look to sign 25-year-old Turkish international Baris Alper Yilmaz from Turkish Super Lig club Galatasaray in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Turkish outlet Takvim, Baris Alper Yilmaz is the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur. The Lilywhites are keen on bolstering their offensive unit by signing a versatile attacker in the summer transfer window. So, the 25-year-old Galatasaray forward has emerged as a target for the North London outfit.
Yilmaz’s agent has discussed incoming offers for the Turk, informing Galatasaray that Tottenham will soon submit an official offer to secure his services in the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, the Turkish Super Lig outfit will demand around €35 million to part ways with the Rize native.
Baris Alper Yilmaz and his career so far
Baris Alper Yilmaz has made considerable progress since joining Galatasaray from Ankara Keciorengucu in July 2021. While the 24-year-old has not been as productive as he would like to be in the last four years, he has grown in stature with each passing season.
The Turkish international saw his productivity improve in the 2024/25 season, and he has chipped in with 25 goals and 20 assists in over 150 appearances thus far for Galatasaray. Meanwhile, Yilmaz’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs across Europe. Premier League outfits, in particular, are keen on signing him, with Tottenham among the prospective suitors vying for his signature in the summer transfer window.
London calling?
Baris Alper Yilmaz has been on Tottenham Hotspur’s radar for a long time. The continued interest is understandable, considering the Lilywhites have parted ways with Son Heung-min, with the former club captain joining LAFC this week. In addition, Richarlison faces an uncertain future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.
So, Tottenham must dip into the market for a long-term offensive solution, with Yilmaz emerging as a viable target for the North London outfit. The 25-year-old Turk’s agent has already approached Galatasaray to inform them that Tottenham will soon submit an official bid to secure his services in the summer transfer window.
Meanwhile, Yilmaz will not cost a bomb, with Galatasaray demanding around €35 million to part ways with him in the summer transfer window. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham’s official offer is close to the Turkish Super Lig club’s asking price of €35 million.
