Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United have been offered the chance to sign Juventus outcast Dusan Vlahovic.

According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Newcastle United have once again been offered the chance to sign Dusan Vlahovic. The Serbian international is no longer an integral part of Juventus’ plans, and they are willing to sanction his departure for the right price.

Vlahovic made a name for himself while playing for Fiorentina. On the back of his sensational performances, Juventus forked out a significant fee to sign the 25-year-old forward back in 2022. While he has done a decent job for them, he hasn’t really lived up to expectations.

With his contract running out in 12 months, his future has been a big talking point. The Old Lady were ready to hand him a new deal, but because of their financial situation, they wanted Vlahovic to take a pay cut. However, the Serbian international has turned down their proposal.

As a result, Juventus are ready to sanction his departure as they do not want to lose out on him for free next summer. While quite a few top clubs have been linked with the 25-year-old, nothing concrete has happened so far.

Newcastle could now make a move for Vlahovic

Intermediaries have been working hard to find him a new club, and they have once again knocked on Newcastle’s door. The Magpies find themselves in a very difficult position as they have already parted ways with Callum Wilson, and the future of their star striker, Alexander Isak, is also up in the air.

The Swedish international could end up joining Liverpool this summer. While the Magpies were looking at Benjamin Sesko and Darwin Nunez as potential replacements, they are unlikely to secure their services.

Sesko is closing in on a move to Manchester United, while Nunez could be heading to the Middle East. Juventus are aware that Newcastle might be in need of a new striker; as a result, intermediaries have once again reached out to the English club to see if they would like to sign the Serbian striker.

The Tyneside club are currently evaluating whether to make a move for the 25-year-old. The Old Lady are hoping that if the Magies end up signing Vlahovic, it might open the door for them to try and sign Sandro Tonali. It won’t be a swap deal but more of a complex operation that could involve Douglas Luiz or Nicolo Savona, plus cash.

Even if the Premier League club does end up making a move for the Juventus star, it seems unlikely that they will listen to offers for their midfield mainstay, Tonali.
