Leeds United revive Jonathan Rowe chase
Leeds United will reportedly look to sign 22-year-old English winger Jonathan Rowe from Ligue 1 club Marseille in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by TEAMtalk, Jonathan Rowe is the subject of interest from Leeds United. The Whites are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a wide attacker in the summer transfer window. So, the 22-year-old Marseille winger has emerged as a target for the newly promoted Premier League club.
The West Yorkshire outfit wanted to sign the Englishman last summer before Marseille secured an initial loan deal. The Ligue 1 giants completed a permanent move worth €16 million last month. However, Leeds United will aim to take Rowe back to England before the ongoing transfer window shuts down.
Jonathan Rowe is one of the most promising young wingers in Ligue 1, even though he has not been productive for Marseille. The 22-year-old managed only three goals and four assists in 30 appearances across all competitions for Les Phoceens in the 2024/25 season.
However, the promising English winger has completed a permanent move for a deal worth €16 million this summer, with his time in his homeland ending. But a quick return to England may be on the cards for Rowe, with Leeds United among the prospective suitors vying for his signature in the summer transfer window.
Jonathan Rowe has been on Leeds United’s radar for a long time, with the West Yorkshire outfit attempting to secure his services last summer. The continued interest is understandable, even though Daniel James, Wilfried Gnonto, and Largie Ramazani were impressive for Daniel Farke’s team in the 2024/25 season.
Several candidates have emerged on Leeds United’s radar, with Rowe also a viable target.
