Chelsea stepping up talks to sign Alejandro Garnacho

Chelsea have stepped up their efforts to sign Alejandro Garnacho after advancing in talks with Manchester United, with the player keen on the move.

According to The Athletic, Chelsea are advancing in talks with Manchester United for the signing of Alejandro Garnacho. The London side are widely expected to sign the 21-year-old Manchester United whizkid this summer, with the Argentine keen on the switch.

Chelsea continued their aggressive approach in the transfer market and could soon make their ninth signing of the window. The Londoners are angling for a move for Alejandro Granacho as their latest target, who is high on their shortlist alongside RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons.

Chelsea are eager to sign both players, with deals advancing for either star, as they have stepped up their efforts to bring Garnacho to Stamford Bridge. The Blues have advanced in talks with Manchester United for the Argentine, as they are set to make an offer for the attacker.

The Blues are the front runners for Garnacho, as Manchester United are reportedly seeking around £70 million for the attacker. Whether that is a price Chelsea are willing to pay remains the question, but their current advancement in the move shows they might offer close to that sum or at least something significant.

Manchester United have agreed a deal for Benjamin Sesko, with the club now seemingly seeking funds through sales to balance their books. Garnacho is not seen in their immediate plans with Ruben Amorim reportedly telling the 21-year-old Manchester United whizkid in front of his teammates to find a new club back in May.

Alejandro Garnacho keen on Chelsea switch

Garnacho is keen to join Chelsea, and at the moment, he’s seeking a switch to Stamford Bridge only, having turned down the idea of joining other options. He could also be open to staying at Manchester United if a move to Chelsea does not transpire.

At Chelsea, Garnacho will enter a competitive environment, where there are several options for his preferred left-wing position. He has considerable experience playing at the top level with Manchester United, as the Blues will be hoping the Argentine hits the ground running if he were to arrive at the club in the coming period.
