Chelsea are looking to finalise the signing of Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig, and they have reportedly agreed to a £60 million deal to complete the move.

According to an update by Orazio Accomando, RB Leipzig playmaker Xavi Simons will sign a seven-year contract with the Premier League club, lasting until 2032. The 22-year-old has been excellent for the Bundesliga outfit, and he should prove to be a superb acquisition for Chelsea.

The Blues needs to add more quality and depth in the final third, and Simons is expected to help them improve going forward. Capable of operating anywhere across the front three, he will look to create opportunities for his teammates and find the back of the net.

The Netherlands international registered 18 goal contributions last season, and he could improve further with coaching and experience.
