Arsenal and Tottenham waiting for signal from Rodrygo Goes to launch summer move

Arsenal and Tottenham are waiting on a signal from Rodrygo Goes before launching an official offer for the unwanted Real Madrid star.

According to TBR, Rodrygo Goes is yet to decide his future, as some of the top Premier League sides are waiting for a green light. Arsenal and Tottenham are among those eagerly waiting to find out the Brazilian’s decision on his immediate future before launching an official bid for the Brazilian winger.

Rodrygo Goes could leave Real Madrid this summer after speculation surrounding his future continued to dominate headlines over in the Spanish capital. New manager Xabi Alonso wants a change of system and does not count on the Brazilian to play a big part, which could potentially allow the club to pave the way for a big sale.

Alonso does want to improve his defence and add another midfielder, as the funds from a Rodrygo sale could allow the club to bring those new faces. However, the winger is yet to make his decision, despite growing interest from Premier League sides.

Liverpool are interested in Rodrygo if they fail in the pursuit of Alexander Isak, and while they are seen as one of the strong contenders, Arsenal and Tottenham are also in the mix. Spurs are looking to bring a viable replacement for former skipper Son Heung-min.

Rodrygo seemed uninterested in joining Spurs, although that stance could even change as the window progresses. Spurs have Ademola Lookman as an alternative to the Brazilian, but they will want to try for the 24-year-old Real Madrid attacker if they were given a signal from the player’s camp of his desire to leave the Spanish capital.

Arsenal are eager to sign Rodrygo

Arsenal are interested in Rodrygo, and had approached his camp earlier to detrermine if a move was possible this summer. The Gunners are waiting on the 24-year-old Real Madrid attacker to signal his intent before they can launch an official offer for the Brazilian.

The Gunners are in the market for new attackers and have a real focus on improving their left-hand side. Rodrygo is a player on top of their list of Mikel Arteta went for a new left-winger, which could also open the doors for one of Leandro Trossard or Gabriel Martinelli to depart before the window shuts.
