Tottenham sound out Randal Kolo Muani move; Spurs, Manchester United rebuffed by player
Tottenham and Manchester United have reportedly been keen on signing 26-year-old French international Randal Kolo Muani from PSG in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by TEAMtalk, Randal Kolo Muani is the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur. The Lilywhites are scouring the market for a versatile attacker this summer and have set their sights on the Paris Saint-Germain striker. The 2024/25 UEFA Europa League winners have “tested the waters” for a move, with PSG demanding at least €55 million to part ways with him, including half of it as an upfront payment.
The Frenchman is also a target for Juventus, but the Serie A giants do not want to pay more than €15 million as an initial payment. Meanwhile, a report by Italian outlet Tuttosport has revealed that Kolo Muani has rejected enquiries from Tottenham and Manchester United, thus dealing a blow to the two Premier League clubs.
Randal Kolo Muani and his situation
Randal Kolo Muani has been a shell of his best version since joining Paris Saint-Germain from Eintracht Frankfurt in a big-money deal in September 2023. The 26-year-old was a hot property in the market when PSG beat stiff competition to secure his signature. However, he failed to deliver the goods in his first 18 months at Parc des Princes before Juventus signed him on loan earlier this year.
The French striker enjoyed some promising moments during his spell with Juventus, amassing ten goals and three assists in 22 outings. That has compelled Juventus to seek a summer move for Kolo Muani. However, the talks between the Bianconeri and PSG have not progressed due to the Ligue 1 club’s asking price of €55 million. Meanwhile, he is also a target for Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
A man in demand
Manchester United’s interest in Randal Kolo Muani is understandable. The Red Devils want to sign a striker this summer after Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund proved wasteful in front of the goal last season. Kolo Muani has emerged as a viable target for Manchester United.
As for Tottenham, the Lilywhites hold a long-standing interest in the 26-year-old French international. The 2024/25 UEFA Europa League winners are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a versatile attacker this summer as they brace for Son Heung-min’s departure. So, Kolo Muani is an option worth considering, with Tottenham “testing the waters” over a move for the 26-year-old Frenchman.
PSG will aim to recoup €55 million for a permanent exit, demanding half of that as an upfront payment. However, Juventus would prefer to make an initial outlay of around €15 million. Meanwhile, the French international has rejected Tottenham and Manchester United, handing Juventus a clear run at him.
