Everton agree £28 million package to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Everton reportedly have an agreement in place to sign Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in a deal worth £28 million.

According to a report from the BBC, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is all set to part ways with Chelsea just 12 months after joining them from Leicester City. He is ready to join Everton, who have struck a deal with the Blues worth £28 million. The English midfielder will soon finalise personal terms and undergo a medical at his new club.

Dewsbury-Hall came up the ranks at Leicester City and made quite a name for himself while playing for their first team. The Englishman was an integral part of Enzo Maresca’s team, and he helped them secure a promotion to the Premier League.

Following his move to Chelsea, Maresca was keen on reuniting with the 26-year-old. As a result, the Blues forked out £30 million to add him to their ranks last summer. Unfortunately, the move has not worked out as he was involved in just 36 matches and racked up just over 1,800 minutes of first-team action.

The 26-year-old was involved in only 13 league games, racking up just 258 minutes in the English top flight. Despite not having a prominent role in the team, Dewsbury-Hall has been reluctant to leave Stamford Bridge. However, the Blues want him off the books as they look to recoup the majority of what they had invested in signing him.

While the Leicester City graduate was a valuable squad player, he is not an integral part of Maresca’s plan moving ahead. As a result, the West London club are ready to cash in on him. Meanwhile, they have made a number of signings this summer and need to offload a few players to ensure they do not violate the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

Everton strike a deal for Dewsbury-Hall

Everton have been keen on signing the 26-year-old as they look to add more quality and depth to their midfield. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall could prove to be a valuable addition to David Moyes’s squad, and they have been working on a potential transfer for weeks.

The Toffees have finally struck a deal with Chelsea to sign the Leicester graduate. The package is worth £28 million, the Blues will receive a fixed fee of £24 million with a further £3-4 million due in add-ons. With Everton agreeing a deal with the West London club, the player will now finalise personal terms and undergo a medical at his new club in the coming days.
