Bundesliga, Serie A clubs vying for Rasmus Hojlund

Bundesliga and Serie A clubs are all set to battle it out for the signature of Manchester United misfit Rasmus Hojlund.

Rasmus Hojlund’s future has become a massive talking point. While he wants to continue at Old Trafford, Manchester United are ready to sanction his departure for the right price. Despite his poor performances in England, there is no shortage of interest in the Danish international.

According to a report from CaughtOffside, multiple clubs from the Bundesliga and Serie A are keen on signing the 22-year-old striker and are prepared to battle it out to lure Hojlund to their respective sides.

Hojlund made a name for himself while playing for Atalanta, and on the back of his impressive rise, United forked out a significant fee to sign him in the summer of 2023.

While he certainly has massive potential and has shown glimpses of the talent he possesses, the Danish striker hasn’t lived up to the lofty expectations everyone at United had.

With him scoring just 10 goals last season, Ruben Amorim is now looking for a proven goal scorer to lead his attack. While Hojlund wants to continue at Old Trafford to try and turn things around, the Portuguese manager is ready to sanction his departure.

A host of clubs want to sign Hojlund

People at the club are ready to let go of the former Atalanta forward, as long as they receive a majority of what they had invested to bring him to the club. While a host of clubs from the Bundesliga are keen on his signature, Bayer Leverkusen seem to be quite serious about their pursuit.

Former United boss Erik ten Hag wants to reunite with the young forward at Leverkusen. He wants to make the 22-year-old the central figure of his project at the German club. Apart from them, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, and Eintracht Frankfurt are all monitoring Hojlund’s situation at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, the German clubs will face strong competition from Italian clubs like AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus and Napoli. They are all looking to freshen things up in the final third, and the 22-year-old is quite high on their wishlist.

Inter Milan seem to be the most serious suitor from Italy. They have already submitted a proposal that included a double deal for Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee. However, that offer was turned down by the Red Devils, who will only sell the Danish striker for the right price. United are keen on a permanent deal, while Inter want a two-year loan deal with an option to buy.
