Borussia Dortmund eyeing Leandro Trossard swoop, player also has Premier League offers

Borussia Dortmund are keen on signing Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard, who also has two offers from Premier League clubs.

According to an update by reputed German journalist Florian Plettenberg, Leandro Trossard could end up parting ways with Arsenal this summer. The Belgian international has two concrete offers from Premier League clubs, while Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund are also in the race for his signature.

Trossard made a name for himself at Brighton & Hove Albion before joining the Gunners at the start of 2023. He has only gone from strength to strength since moving to North London. Last season, the 30-year-old versatile forward was involved in 56 games, and he ended up contributing towards 20 goals (10 goals, 10 assists).

Despite not being a regular starter, Trossard has certainly been a very valuable part of Mikel Arteta’s first team since joining the North London club in a deal worth £21 million. While he still has two years left on his contract with Arsenal, the Belgian winger could be on the move this summer, amidst interest from a number of top clubs.

Two Premier League clubs are believed to be very keen on signing the 30-year-old, who prefers playing out wide on the left but is very capable of featuring anywhere in attack. Leandro Trossard’s consistent performances have impressed the clubs, and they have already put forward concrete offers.

Borussia Dortmund plotting a raid on Arsenal

Leandro Trossard could even choose to move to Germany as Borussia Dortmund are keen on signing him. The Black and Yellows are closely monitoring him and could make a move in the near future. While he is approaching the final phase of his career, the former Brighton & Hove Albion star could certainly offer a lot to the Bundesliga giants.

With Jamie Gittens leaving to join Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund are desperate for more quality on the flanks, and Trossard could help them fill that void. A transfer is quite possible in this window, but they will have to convince him to leave England amidst offers from two top clubs, whose names have not been revealed just yet.

Given the number of signings Arsenal have made, Trossard’s game time could be affected; as a result, a move away could make sense.
