Napoli set to revive move to sign Alejandro Garnacho

Serie A champions Napoli are reportedly set to reignite their move for 21-year-old Manchester United whizkid Alejandro Garnacho after failing to sign Dan Ndoye.

According to a report by The Sun, Alejandro Garnacho remains the subject of interest from Napoli. The Serie A champions are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a wide attacker in the summer transfer window. So, the 21-year-old Manchester United winger has emerged as a target for the Partenopei.

Napoli wanted to sign Dan Ndoye from Bologna, but the Swiss international is on the verge of joining Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window. So, the 2024/25 Serie A winners are ready to revive their move for Garnacho, with Manchester City outcast Jack Grealish also a target for the Italian club.

Alejandro Garnacho has reached a crossroads in his career for the first time, even though he has established himself as one of the best young prospects in the Premier League since breaking into the first-team squad at Manchester United. The 21-year-old became a senior player for Manchester United under Erik ten Hag, but he was in and out of the starting lineup under Ruben Amorim.

The Argentine international has turned out nearly 150 times thus far for Manchester United while chipping in with 26 goals and 22 assists. However, Garnacho faces an uncertain future at Old Trafford after a run-in with Ruben Amorim following the UEFA Europa League final. The Portuguese tactician has reportedly told the player to find a new club, and Napoli will aim to sign him this summer.

Alejandro Garnacho has been on Napoli’s radar for a long time. The Serie A champions have already reinforced their offensive unit by signing Noa Lang from PSV Eindhoven.
