Alejandro Garnacho is open to joining Chelsea

Manchester United outcast Alejandro Garnacho is now ready to join rivals Chelsea ahead of the new season.

According to Ben Jacobs, Alejandro Garnacho is expected to part ways with Manchester United in the coming weeks. He is no longer a part of Ruben Amorim’s plans, and the Red Devils are ready to cash in on him. The Argentine winger wants to continue in the Premier League and would welcome an approach from Chelsea.

Garnacho has only gone from strength to strength since joining Manchester United from Atletico Madrid back in 2020. He went up the ranks and got promoted to the first team in 2022. While he was an integral part of their team under Erik ten Hag, the arrival of Amorim changed things up.

The Portuguese manager wasn’t pleased with his efforts in training, and the duo had a public fall-out towards the end of the season as Garnacho was benched in the Europa League final. While the Argentine international still has three years left on his deal, he is ready to part ways.

United are willing to sanction his departure as it could help them land other top targets. While multiple top clubs from across Europe have been linked with him, the 21-year-old is prioritising a move within the Premier League.

Chelsea have emerged as a potential destination. The Blues are always on the lookout for young players with a bright future, and Garnacho certainly fits the bill. Despite having added Jamie Gittens to his squad, Enzo Maresca is still looking for more quality on the flanks as a few of their star are expected to leave the club.

The Argentine winger is a proven Premier League star, and he could certainly be a great addition to their squad. The Blues have received a massive boost as Garnacho is open to a move to Stamford Bridge. He would welcome any approach from the London club.

Maresca’s team are in the market as they look to add more quality to their attack, and Jacob feels they could end up signing Garnacho as well as RB Leipzig mainstay Xavi Simons in the near future.
