Report reveals how much Chelsea will receive for Joao Felix

Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea are all set to receive around £40 million from Joao Felix’s move to Saudi Pro League giants Al-Nassr.

According to a report from TBR, Joao Felix is all set to link up with his international teammate, Cristiano Ronaldo, at Al-Nassr after the Saudi giants struck a deal with Chelsea for his signature. The Portuguese winger’s future has been up in the air since the start of the summer, but it seems he has finally found his new club.

Things haven’t really gone according to plan for Felix ever since he joined Atletico Madrid back in 2019. He came up the ranks at Benfica and made quite a name for himself. On the back of his exceptional rise, the Spanish giants broke the bank to secure his services.

His move to Atletico was a disaster, and following a loan spell at Barcelona, Chelsea secured his services last summer in a deal worth £46 million. However, even that didn’t work out as he ended up spending the second half of the season on loan at AC Milan.

While he is back at Stamford Bridge, he is not in Enzo Maresca’s plans moving ahead. As a result, the Blues have been looking for a new club for the 25-year-old. They were in talks with Benfica and were ready to send him out on loan, as agreeing terms with Felix was proving to be difficult because he still had six years left on his deal.

Chelsea to earn £40 million from Felix’s sale

The Portuguese giants were the only club keen on his signature until Al-Nassr entered the race at the start of the week. Ronaldo informed the club’s hierarchy about his availability, and the Saudi giants rushed to secure his services on the demands of their skipper.

They have struck a deal with the London club as well as the player. Everything seems to be in place for the transfer to go through. The Blues have managed to secure a deal worth around £40 million, and they will be quite pleased to have recouped the majority of what they had spent last summer.

While Felix would have preferred staying in Europe, linking up with Ronaldo in the Middle East could certainly help him get back to his best.
