Juventus eyeing Darwin Nunez swoop, price revealed
Juventus will reportedly look to sign 25-year-old Uruguayan international Darwin Nunez from Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Italian outlet Tuttosport, Darwin Nunez is the subject of interest from Juventus. The Serie A giants are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a striker in the summer transfer window. So, the 25-year-old Liverpool centre-forward has emerged as a target for the Bianconeri.
The Italian heavyweights would prefer to bring Randal Kolo Muani back to the Allianz Stadium in the summer transfer window. So, Nunez has emerged as “Plan N” for Juventus, with Liverpool demanding around €60-65 million to part ways with the former SL Benfica striker in the coming weeks.
Darwin Nunez and his situation
Darwin Nunez has not lived up to the billing since joining Liverpool from SL Benfica in a big-money move in July 2022. While the 25-year-old has shown flashes of brilliance in the last three years, he has been blown hot and cold throughout his spell with the Merseyside outfit.
Nunez endured a frustrating 2024/25 campaign, managing only 2,038 minutes of game time across 47 appearances in all competitions while chipping in with seven goals and seven assists. However, the Uruguayan striker’s stock in the market remains high, with Juventus among the prospective suitors vying for his signature in the summer transfer window.
Serie A move on the horizon?
Juventus’s interest in Darwin Nunez is understandable. The Serie A giants are scouring the market for a striker this summer amid uncertainties surrounding Dusan Vlahovic’s long-term future. The Serbian international will likely depart from the Allianz Stadium in the summer transfer window, with Juventus ready to cash in on him.
Randal Kolo Muani is the top target for Juventus, with the Bianconeri keen on taking him back to the Allianz Stadium. However, the French international is a target for several Premier League clubs, compelling Juventus to look elsewhere for an alternative. Nunez has thus emerged as an option for the Serie A club, and they have identified him as “Plan N”.
Meanwhile, Liverpool will not let the 25-year-old Uruguayan international leave for a cheap sum, demanding €60-65 million to part ways with him. However, the Reds are open to sanctioning a loan exit with a purchase option or an obligation clause. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the €60-65 million-rated Juventus target.
