Galatasaray make offer to sign Gianluigi Donnarumma amid Chelsea, Manchester United links
Galatasaray are making their presence felt in the Gianluigi Donnarumma chase by making a concrete offer, with the player yet to decide his next steps.
According to Ekrem Konur, Galatasaray have made a concrete bid to sign Gianluigi Donnarumma, as the Italian’s future at PSG has come into considerable doubt. The Turkish giants have certainly made their presence felt in the race for the Italian stopper, as a host of top clubs on the continent are interested, including Chelsea and Manchester United.
Gianluigi Donnarumma has reportedly decided to part ways with PSG after failing to agree on their latest proposal for a contract renewal. The Italian stopper is already in the final year of his deal in Paris, as the club are already looking at potential options to replace him should Donnarumma depart.
The news of the keeper’s instability with the European champions has alerted a host of top clubs, with some of the biggest teams now keeping close tabs. Apart from European giants, English sides Chelsea and Manchester United are also considering moves.
Chelsea have already ruled out a move for Mike Maignan, and could now target Gianluigi Donnarumma, with the two keepers in a similar situation with regards to their contracts. Manchester United are also keen to sell Andre Onana, with a host of names linked with a move to Old Trafford at the moment, including FC Porto’s Diogo Costa.
The Red Devils are also in the mix for Donnarumma, with the 26-year-old PSG star likely seen as a big market opportunity. The reasons for his refusal to sign a new deal in Paris remain unclear, but one can deduce that money is the primary reason for it.
Galatasaray have made Gianluigi Donnarumma bid
Galatasaray have made their presence felt in the race for the 26-year-old PSG star by making a bid for Donnarumma. The Turkish giants parted ways with long-standing keeper Fernando Mulsera, who departed after 14 seasons and made more than 550 appearances for the club as their undisputed first choice.
Moreover, Galatasaray have shown plenty of financial muscle in the market this summer after bringing Leroy Sane on a lucrative contract, and they are now closing in on Victor Osimhen. Hence, one might assume any deal for Gianluigi Donnarumma would involve big wages, as the Turkish giants may have the power to compete with the big sides when it comes to finances in the race for the 26-year-old PSG star.
