RC Strasbourg Alsace have completed the signing of Argentine forward Joaquin Panichelli (22), who has signed a five-year deal. 

Panichelli joined Deportivo Alavés on a free transfer back in 2023, after he left formative club River Plate. Last season, he had a breakthrough while on loan at Spanish second-division side Mirandés, where he made 44 appearances across all competitions, scoring 21 goals and registering eight assists. 

It has allowed his parent club, Alavés, to garner a significant fee for the Argentine. It is thought that the deal is worth €16.5m , plus another €3.5m in bonuses. In total, the transfer is worth €20m, the value of the player’s release clause.

Panichelli has signed a five-year deal with Les Alsaciens, who next season will compete in the UEFA Europa Conference League. The club announced that their new recruit would be joining up with the rest of the squad on their pre-season training camp in Austria on Monday.
