Liverpool line up €120 million move for Rodrygo Goes

Liverpool are ready to propose a €120 million fee for the signing of crisis-struck 24-year-old Rodrygo Goes from Real Madrid.

According to Fichajes, Liverpool are ready to spend as much as €120 million to secure the signing of Brazilian attacker Rodrygo Goes. The winger is viewed as the ideal replacement for Luis Diaz and will take advantage of Rodrygo’s uncertain future over at Real Madrid.

Liverpool have had one of the most aggressive windows of any top team in recent memory. The Reds, armed with a huge transfer kitty, decided to attack the window to improve their squad drastically, which has seen the arrivals of Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike.

Some of the biggest transfer stories are yet to unfold at Anfield amid huge links to Alexander Isak. The club are very much interested in the striker following the Swede’s decision to hand in a transfer request to leave Newcastle United this summer. Liverpool are expected to pay a huge fee if they can get a signal from the Magpies about their intention to sell the star striker.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have been focused on selling some of their high-profile stars, including Darwin Nunez, Federico Chiesa and Luis Diaz. They have reached an agreement with Bayern Munich for Diaz, which does open the door to now chase key target Rodrygo Goes from Real Madrid.

Rodrygo has big suitors from the Premier League, and while he is yet to decide on his future, Real Madrid might open the door to a sale. The Spanish giants’ new manager Xabi Alonso has plans that do not include the Brazilian in a big way, which has led the crisis-struck 24-year-old to be one of those who are dispensable at the club.

Liverpool are expected to go big for Rodrygo and already have plans in place to initiate a move for the Brazilian. It appears the Merseysiders are open to paying as much as €120 million to sign the attacker, which would represent a big statement of intent from a Liverpool perspective.

Arsenal are also in the race, but with Liverpool opening up space for a new left-winger following the agreement to sell Diaz, Rodrygo Goes might be the best fit there. It remains to be seen whether Real Madrid would be open to selling and how much they might seek for the crisis-struck 24-year-old, although the €120 million reported might do the trick.
