Everton agree deal to sign Adam Aznou
David Moyes’ Everton have an agreement in place to sign Bayern Munich defensive sensation Adam Aznou.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Adam Aznou is all set to make the move to the Premier League, as Everton have agreed a package worth €12 million to sign him from Bayern Munich. The teenage defensive sensation is expected to undergo his medical at the Merseyside club within the next 48 hours.
Aznou was a part of La Masia (Barcelona youth academy) back in the day, but he made the switch to Germany back in 2022. He went up the ranks at Bayern at some pace and got promoted to their first team last summer.
After struggling to get enough minutes under Vincent Kompany during the first half of the season, he ended up joining Real Valladolid on loan. He ended up making a total of 13 league appearances for the Spanish club and did a decent job.
While he is back at his parent club, the 19-year-old is unlikely to have regular first-team action. As a result, he has been keen on securing a move away in search of a more prominent role. Everton emerged as a potential destination, as they were looking for more depth and quality on the left flank.
Everton secure Aznou’s signature
The Toffees have been closely monitoring his progress for a while, and his ability to feature on either flank could certainly help David Moyes. With Vitaliy Mykolenko, the only out-and-out left-back option at Everton, Aznou could certainly help them.
As a result, they decided to push hard for his signature and have managed to strike a deal with Bayern after intense negotiations. All parties have reached an agreement, and the clubs are now exchanging documents as the teenager prepares for his move to Everton.
The Tofees will pay an initial fee of €9 million along with €3 million as add-ons. He is expected to undergo his medical at the Merseyside club within the next two days. The player had already given the green light to the move as he could have a very important role under Moyes. With everything in place, the deal should be made official in the coming days.
