Bayern Munich confident of signing Luis Diaz for €75 million

Vincent Kompany’s Bayern Munich are optimistic about securing the services of Liverpool forward Luis Diaz for €75 million.

According to Santi Aouna, Bayern Munich are closing in on the signature of Luis Diaz. They have made significant progress in talks with Liverpool and are confident about signing the Colombian international for around €75 million.

Diaz hasn’t looked back since joining the Reds at the start of 2022 from FC Porto. He has gone on to establish himself as a key figure in their team and was one of their standout performers last season as they ended up winning the Premier League.

While he still has two years left on his deal, the Merseyside club have been looking to secure his long-term future with a new deal. But they haven’t been able to convince him to put pen to paper.

Despite being a key part of Arne Slot’s plans moving ahead, the Colombian seems keen on parting ways with Liverpool, amidst interest from some of the biggest clubs in the world.

Bayern Munich are confident about signing Diaz

Bayern Munich are quite keen on signing him. The German giants seek more firepower in the final third. They want to strengthen the left flank before the start of the new season. The injury to Jamal Musiala has been a massive blow to them, and Diaz’s versatility suggests he could help them cope with the German international’s absence.

While Liverpool are reluctant to sell, they are not really in total control of the situation as the player is pushing for a move. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich already seem to have the green light from the player, and they are working hard to strike a deal with the Reds.

The Bundesliga champions have made significant progress in talks with the Reds, and they are confident about securing his services for around €75 million. The 28-year-old was left out of Liverpool’s squad for the friendly against AC Milan on Saturday because of the ongoing negotiations with Bayern.

As things stand, the German giants are within touching distance of his signature. If all goes according to plan, he could soon complete a move to Munich.
