Fulham interested in Raheem Sterling and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Fulham are interested in signing out-of-favour English duo Raheem Sterling and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, with Chelsea likely to sell.

According to Nizaar Kinsella on BBC, Raheem Sterling and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall are targets for Fulham ahead of the summer. The Cottagers are eager to kickstart their transfer business in this window, as Marco Silva would like to explore a move for the out-of-favour English duo from Chelsea.

Fulham are the only top-flight side yet to make a summer signing. Marco Silva does have ambitions to improve this squad, and there are some key requirements for his team. The primary objective for the Cottagers in this window is to keep hold of their current group, and they have done a decent job at that, including extending key defender Kenny Tete’s deal.

Now, the Cottagers are eager to progress in the window for incomings, as out-of-favour English duo from Chelsea, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Raheem Sterling, are certain targets. The Blues might be open to selling the duo, as they are not seen as a key part of their planning for the new campaign under Enzo Maresca.

Starting with Dewsbury-Hall, the midfielder has not managed to cement an important spot in the starting midfield setup. He has been used more as a squad player, something Maresca might continue to do going forward, but Chelsea might be open to selling him if a sizeable offer arrives for his signature.

There’s considerable interest from Premier League sides in the midfielder, and now Fulham are in the mix. What the Cottagers can offer him is staying in a similar area to Chelsea, although any move will depend on his asking price, which might be considerably high given the fee the Blues paid last summer to Leicester City.

Raheem Sterling is a target for Fulham

Fulham are also looking at Raheem Sterling as an option, with the winger certainly out of the Chelsea project. The Blues want £20 million to sell him, and given he makes 300,000 a week in wages, which will make it difficult for Fulham to crack a deal convenient to their pockets. Sterling also has Napoli’s interest, while Bayer Leverkusen are also keen, so he will effectively have Champions League-level teams as options.

As for Fulham, they might find it challenging to get a deal in place for Sterling, although they are in talks to sign Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson. Hence, they have other options if they cannot get a deal in place for Sterling, although a move for Dewsbury-Hall could certainly become an opportunity they can explore.
