Alexander Isak prefers Liverpool move amid Arsenal, Chelsea links

Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak has been linked with a move away from the club during the transfer window.

Chelsea and Arsenal are interested in 25-year-old Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak, but he wants to join Liverpool instead, as per Graeme Bailey on TBR Football. This development will come as a major blow for Arsenal and Chelsea. It will be interesting to see if they come forward with an offer to convince the player.

The Swedish international has been the best striker in the Premier League over the last 12 months, and he has been outstanding for Newcastle. He helped them win the English League Cup and secure Champions League qualification as well. He is now looking to move on for a new challenge, and he would prefer to join Liverpool.

The Premier League champions are in desperate need of a quality striker, but they have recently signed Hugo Ekitike for a substantial amount of money. It will be interesting to see if Liverpool are willing to invest in another striker this summer.

There is no doubt that Isak would be an exceptional acquisition, and he could transform them.

Liverpool will be hoping to win the league title once again and fight for the Champions League title. World-class players like Isak will certainly help them compete with the elite clubs.

Arsenal and Chelsea have been linked as well

On the other hand, Arsenal are now closing in on the capture of Viktor Gyökeres. It would be quite surprising if they decided to move for the Swedish international as well. As far as Chelsea are concerned, they have already signed Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.

It seems that Liverpool are the most probable destination if the player decides to move on this summer. Even though they have signed a quality striker like Ekitike, they are likely to sell multiple attacking players in the coming weeks. Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz, and Federico Chiesa are all expected to move on.

It will be interesting to see if Liverpool can take advantage of the player’s desire to join them and get the deal across the line.
