Tottenham stepping up interest in Alejandro Garnacho, formal bids on the cards

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Manchester United attacker Alejandro Garnacho and could submit a formal offer to sign him.

According to GMS, they are looking to ramp up their efforts to sign the South American wonderkid. Chelsea and Aston Villa are also interested in the player. Garnacho is valued at £40million, and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham are prepared to pay that amount.

It’s no secret that Tottenham need more quality on the flanks. Richarlison and Son Heung-min have been linked with moves away from the club, and Tottenham will need to replace them if they depart. Additionally, players like Wilson Odobert and Brennan Johnson have hardly set the world alight. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can sign the South American in the coming weeks. He would be a quality long-term investment for the club and could develop into a key player. Garnacho needs to join a club where he will play regularly; he struggled for game time at Manchester United last season. He is not an indispensable asset for them, and leaving the Red Devils would be ideal for his development.

The attacker is highly rated across Europe and has a bright future.

Chelsea and Aston Villa keen on the player

Chelsea and Aston Villa are keen on his signature as well. Chelsea need more quality on the flanks, especially with Mykhailo Mudryk facing a lengthy ban for doping and Noni Madueke having been sold to Arsenal. It remains to be seen if Chelsea can fill that void by signing the Manchester United attacker. He could be an asset to them in the long term. Chelsea, being one of the biggest clubs in the world, would be an attractive prospect for Garnacho, with the opportunity to compete in the Champions League and fight for major trophies.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa have been overly dependent on Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins and could use more quality in the attack. Although they will not be able to provide Champions League football like Tottenham or Chelsea, they could offer regular opportunities to showcase his qualities at the highest level. Additionally, Unai Emery has done well to nurture young attacking players, and the Spaniard could play a key role in Garnacho’s development.
