Rodrigo Muniz open to Fulham move, will cost £50 million

Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz is reportedly open to joining fellow Premier League club Leeds United in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Rodrigo Muniz is the subject of interest from Leeds United. The Whites are eager to reinforce their offensive unit by signing a striker in the summer transfer window. So, the 24-year-old Fulham centre-forward has emerged as a target for the newly promoted Premier League club.

The South American attacker has boosted the West Yorkshire outfit’s prospects, as he is open to moving to Elland Road in the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, Fulham will demand around £50 million to part ways with Muniz, although it is unclear if Leeds United will be ready to match the West London club’s valuation.

Rodrigo Muniz and his Fulham career so far

Rodrigo Muniz has had to bide his time since joining Fulham from Flamengo in August 2021. The 24-year-old has been with the West London outfit for nearly four years but did not enjoy his breakthrough at Craven Cottage until the 2023/24 season. However, he was in and out of the starting lineup last term.

Raul Jimenez was the first-choice striker for Fulham, and Muniz did not even manage 1,500 minutes of game time across 36 appearances in all competitions. However, he contributed to 13 goals by finding the back of the net 11 times and providing two assists. Meanwhile, the Brazilian striker’s stock in the market is high, with Leeds United among the prospective suitors vying for his signature in the summer transfer window.

Move across the Premier League on the cards?

Leeds United’s interest in Rodrigo Muniz is understandable. The Whites are scouring the market for a striker this summer amid uncertainties surrounding the long-term futures of Mateo Joseph and Patrick Bamford. Daniel Farke has already confirmed his decision to sanction the latter’s sale this summer.

Leeds United will thus need a new striker this summer, with Muniz emerging as a viable target. The 2024/25 EFL Championship winners have already failed with a bid to sign the 24-year-old attacker. However, the Fulham centre-forward is ready to join Leeds United in the summer transfer window.

While Muniz’s decision has boosted Leeds United’s prospects, he will not come cheap, with the West London outfit demanding around £50 million to part ways with him. So, the newly promoted Premier League outfit might need a sale to afford a bid worth £50 million to land the Brazilian striker.
