Everton, West Ham United retain Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall interest

Everton and West Ham United are reportedly still interested in signing 26-year-old English midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by The Sun, Everton and West Ham United are still keen on signing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. The two Premier League mid-table clubs wanted to sign the English midfielder from Chelsea earlier this year, hoping to secure his services on a loan deal with a purchase obligation clause.

Everton and West Ham are ready to return with an approach to secure Dewsbury-Hall’s services if the Blues reduce their asking price to part ways with last summer’s signing in the ongoing transfer window. Meanwhile, Chelsea will demand around £30 million to sell the English midfielder.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and his Chelsea woes

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has hit a brick wall since joining Chelsea from Leicester City in a deal worth £30 million last summer. The Englishman was among the most highly-rated midfielders in England last summer after his exploits for the Foxes, but he struggled for game time in his debut season with the West London club.

The 26-year-old has not even managed 2,000 minutes of game time across 36 outings thus far for Chelsea while chipping in with five goals and four assists. So, a summer exit may be on the cards, with Premier League clubs ready to secure his services. Everton and West Ham United are among the prospective suitors vying for his signature in the summer transfer window.

Move across the Premier League on the cards?

Everton wanted to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall earlier this year, but the deal failed to see the light of day. The continued interest is understandable, considering Abdoulaye Doucoure has left the Merseyside club as a free agent. So, Dewsbury-Hall is a viable target for Everton this summer.

Like Everton, West Ham United wanted to sign the Chelsea midfielder on loan in January, but the deal failed to see the light of day. The continued interest makes sense, as Carlos Soler has returned to Paris Saint-Germain after a disastrous loan spell in the 2024/25 season. In addition, Guido Rodriguez and Tomas Soucek face an uncertain future at West Ham.

However, Chelsea’s asking price of £30 million may pose a problem for Everton and West Ham, and they will only launch the offensive to sign the 26-year-old Englishman if the valuation drops. So, it will be interesting to see if a move across the Premier League is on the cards for Dewsbury-Hall.
