Ederson Moraes agrees personal terms with Galatasaray, Manchester City talks to follow
Ederson Moraes has reportedly agreed on personal terms with Galatasaray as club-to-club talks are seemingly underway for the Brazilian keeper.
According to an update by reputed Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Galatasaray are moving closer to the signing of Ederson Moraes after agreeing on personal terms with the Brazilian keeper. The Turkish giants are on the verge of making some key signings this summer, as talks with Manchester City for their stopper have already begun.
Last summer, there were credible rumours of Ederson Moraes wanting an exit from Manchester City. Back then, there were heavy links to the Saudi Pro League, with claims that the Middle Eastern sides were prepared to make the Brazilian one of the highest-paid players, especially among all goalkeepers.
With Pep Guardiola persuading the veteran keeper to stay put, they might be open to the idea of a departure this time out. Ederson cost €40 million to Manchester City back in 2017, and he has been a big success at the Etihad, winning multiple trophies, including the Champions League on one occasion.
More importantly, Ederson Moraes epitomises Guardiola’s style of play and remains one of the best profiles of goalkeepers the Catalan manager likes. His departure will be a big blow for Manchester City, as they are already in the market to find a suitable replacement, following credible talks with Burnley for James Trafford.
In the meantime, Burnley are targeting Stefan Ortega, the Manchester City backup keeper, as there is a big chance that Guardiola sees both his stoppers depart. As for Ederson, Galatasaray have been accelerating a move for the Brazilian, and now the Turkish giants are moving closer to securing the €40 million Manchester City star this summer.
Ederson agree personal terms with Galatasaray
Galatasaray were expected to make a bid, and now they have moved a step closer to signing Ederson after striking an agreement on personal terms with the €40 million Manchester City star. Moreover, the journalist has stated that club-to-clubs talks have begun as there is an expectation that an agreement could be sorted out in the coming days.
With Saudi sides no longer thought to be in the mix for Ederson Moraes, he might still achieve a lucrative contract with Galatasaray. The deal is far from done, although with the agreement on personal terms, the Turkish giants are moving with intent to secure the Brazilian in the coming period.
