Luis Diaz has an agreement with Bayern Munich

Liverpool wantaway star Luis Diaz has reached an agreement on personal terms with Bayern Munich.

Luis Diaz might be living his final weeks at Liverpool as he seems set to seal a move away from the club. According to a report from Fichajes, the Colombian international has reached an agreement in principle with Bayern Munich on personal terms. While the two clubs are yet to agree on a fee, this marks a significant step for the German giants as they look to finalise the signing of the 28-year-old.

After making a name for himself at FC Porto, Diaz made the move to Liverpool at the start of 2022, and he has been an integral part of the Merseyside club ever since. Last season, he was involved in 50 matches and ended up contributing towards 25 goals.

Despite holding a prominent role under Arne Slot and having two years remaining on his contract at Anfield, Diaz appears determined to secure a move away. While Liverpool are reluctant to sanction his departure, the player seems to have his heart set on leaving this summer.

Bayern Munich have emerged as a potential destination for the 28-year-old winger. The German giants consider him an ideal fit for Vincent Kompany’s system and their project. With Jamal Musiala out injured, he could prove to be a very valuable addition to their squad thanks to his ability to feature anywhere in attack.

Bayern are closing in on Diaz’s signature

The Bundesliga giants have been working on a potential transfer for some time. While they are yet to agree on a fee with Liverpool, they do have the green light from the player. They have reached an agreement in principle with the Colombian forward.

The player seems keen on trying his luck in Germany, and he has agreed to pen a five-year contract that will see him earn a salary of €14 million per year. While Diaz is ready to make the move, Bayern still has a lot of work to do to get a deal over the line.

Liverpool won’t let him leave for anything less than €80 million, and the German club are not willing to fork out that big a fee. They are hoping that the player’s desire to make the move and their good relationship with the Merseyside club will help lower the asking price and reach a common ground.
