
Fulham inch closer to signing Romulo as player preference revealed, bid submitted
Marco Silva’s Fulham are closing in on the signature of Brazilian striker Romulo, having already tabled a bid for the Goztepe sensation.
Fulham are looking to add more firepower to their squad ahead of next season, and according to a report from Aksam, the Cottagers have their eyes set on Goztepe forward Romulo. Marco Silva’s team are within touching distance of his signature, having already submitted an official offer.
Romulo joined the Turkish outfit in the summer of 2024. While it was an initial loan deal, they secured his services on a permanent basis at the start of the year. Since moving to the Super Lig, he has featured in a total of 46 matches across competitions and has contributed towards 35 goals (22 goals, 13 assists).
The 23-year-old striker’s impressive performances have put him on the radar of quite a few top clubs across Europe. While he still has three years left on his deal at the club, Romulo is all set to make the move to a bigger club.
Goztepe are also aware of the increasing interest in their young sensation, and they are ready to cash in on him. They have slapped a price tag of €20 million on the Brazilian forward as they look to make a significant profit from his sale.
Fulham could soon sign Romulo
Fulham are one of the clubs that are interested in his signature, and they have already made moves to beat the competition. The Cottagers seek more quality in the final third and believe the 23-year-old could prove to be a valuable addition to their squad for both the short and long run..
Silva’s team have already submitted an offer which is very close to the Turkish club’s demands. They have offered Goztepe €16 million plus a percentage on his future sale. Both clubs remain in talks as they look to strike a deal in the coming days.
The player is keen on joining the London club as he wants to play in the Premier League. Given how things have panned out so far, the transfer could be finalised in the near future.
