Leeds United told to pay €15-20 million for Christantus Uche
La Liga club Getafe will reportedly demand around €15-20 million to part ways with 22-year-old Nigerian international Christantus Uche in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by AS, as relayed by Sport Witness, Christantus Uche is the subject of interest from Leeds United. The Whites are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a versatile attacker in the summer transfer window. So, the 22-year-old Getafe attacking midfielder has emerged as a target for the newly promoted Premier League club.
Leeds United will face stiff competition from other Premier League clubs for Uche’s signature, with Brighton & Hove Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers also keen on signing him in the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, Getafe will demand around €15-20 million to part ways with the Owerri native.
Christantus Uche and his La Liga move
Christantus Uche has established himself as one of the most promising young attackers in La Liga since joining Getafe from AD Ceuta last summer. The Owerri native spent most of his formative years in Nigeria but has come leaps and bounds since moving to Spain in July 2022.
The 22-year-old was impressive in his debut season with Getafe, contributing to 11 goals in 38 appearances across all competitions by finding the back of the net four times and providing seven assists. Meanwhile, the Nigerian international’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs, including Leeds United.
Premier League move on the horizon?
Leeds United’s interest in Christantus Uche is understandable. The Whites are scouring the market for a versatile attacker this summer as Daniel Farke looks to add more firepower to the offensive unit. So, several candidates, including Evann Guessand, have emerged on Leeds United’s radar, with Uche also a viable target.
However, other Premier League clubs have also shown interest in the African midfielder, with Brighton & Hove Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers also vying for his signature in the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, Uche will not cost a bomb, with Getafe demanding around €15-20 million to part ways with him.
Leeds United should unlikely have any issues forking out €15-20 million to sign the 22-year-old Nigerian international in the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, Uche is not training with the first-team squad at Getafe, and he will be allowed to depart from Coliseum Alfonso Perez this summer.
